SACRED HEART

HISTORY

Sacred Heart were formed in 1992 by David & Simon and original bassist Andy as a 3 piece with David doubling up on guitar & drums for the early gigs and the bands first recording  "It's A Wonderful Life".  After recruiting a full time drummer, Ian, in late 1992 they recorded the album "Love & War" in mid 1993.  The line up changed in late 1993 when Chris & Nigel joined and in 1994 they recorded the album "Picture" and the single "Reach Out".

As all the bands recordings were self financed, gigs were played most weekends and eventually the band took a rest from regular gigging in 1997 but carried on playing yearly at festivals and occasional recording including "Back In The Home Town" and the single "(If Life Gives You A Lemon Make) Lemonade"

They started gigging again in September 2005 and recorded the CD "The Art Of Levitation" in April 2007. They took another rest to pursue other musical interests but still get together for bi-yearly jam sessions.

With the 20th Anniversary of Sacred Heart looming in 2012, there are plans to play live again.........
